The story behind the shirt:
This skyline celebrates New York City, where Rescue Bond Initiative was founded and where so much of our earliest work began. It’s a city of millions of people living alongside thousands of animals who need homes, and a fitting place to celebrate the idea at the heart of this design: rescue can travel in both directions.
We know what people can give an animal: a home, safety, care, and belonging. Pets Save People Too celebrates everything animals give back: companionship, routine, connection, purpose, and sometimes simply a reason to get out the door and rejoin the world. That belief has shaped our first year of research, fundraising, relationship building, and early partnerships as we explore how communities can help more people welcome shelter animals home and keep them there.
That work is leading us from New York City to the Hudson Valley, where our flagship Pilot will launch in 2027. There, we’ll begin putting these ideas into practice, bringing together people, animals, and community partners in New York State while helping build a model we hope can inform supported adoption across the United States.
Note: These are our First Year Tees, commemorating our early foundation. While some aspects of the back-design were created using AI tools, our commitment to supporting local artists will be celebrated in our upcoming Premium Collections.
